Motorbike insurance: Every biker needs liability insurance.
As a motorcyclist, you need at least third party liability insurance. In addition, you can take out partial or fully comprehensive insurance, which also pays for damage to your own bike. Partial coverage pays for damage caused by theft, fire, hail or collisions with wild animals. Fully comprehensive insurance pays for damage to your own motorbike even if you are the cause of the accident.
Lower premiums through discounts and claim-free years
Motorbike insurance also offers premium discounts for certain groups of riders, for example, women, civil servants, garage parkers and few riders. As with cars, there are also no-claims discounts in motorbike insurance for years of driving without any insurance claims - you can reduce the premium for your motorbike liability insurance to up to 25 percent of the standard premium if you do not make a claim.
Save premiums with cheaper motorbike insurance
Bikers who do not yet have a high no-claims bonus pay significantly higher premiums for motorbike insurance. Especially for young people, it is therefore worth comparing offers and switching to a cheaper insurer. The deadline for terminating the old contract is 30 November.
