Truck insurance: Find cheap quotes
The premium for truck insurance is calculated according to the vehicle model, engine power, payload, annual mileage, age of the youngest driver and no-claims class, as well as whether the truck is used for local or long-distance transport and whether hazardous goods are transported. Only third party liability insurance is required by law; partial or fully comprehensive insurance is optional. For new vehicles, however, fully comprehensive cover is strongly recommended; the insurer will then also pay if the truck is damaged through the fault of its own driver.
Truck leasing partners require fully comprehensive cover
When you lease a truck, the leasing partner already requires fully comprehensive insurance cover. Often the lessor offers truck insurance at the same time. However, this offer is not always the cheapest, and you can often save money by comparing rates.
Practical tip: If you insure more than one truck, you can take out fleet insurance for the entire fleet instead of several individual policies. The insurer passes on the lower administrative costs to you as the policyholder in the form of lower premiums.
